While  I think it is a bit much to say the air is “free” (as energy will need to be expended to compress it and store it in its compressed state in the tank) - it is an interesting idea.

When I was younger, I had a rocket that was based on compressed air and water. With pumping - the rocket would go about 25-30 feet in the air. I wonder if anyone is working on that!
