An interesting video on You Tube - basically a converted VW that runs on bio-diesel (used cooking oil). It looks like you don’t have to convert it using the normal diesel/glycol type conversion first. Just pour it in and away you go.

I think technology like his is neat - but ultimately - I can’t see that this is sustainable for the majority of us. I also shudder to think how much fried food we’ll have to eat in order to produce enough grease to power our cars. Still - the notion of filling up (for someone like me) every three months or so is pretty appealing.
